Sarah and Brad's Wedding

Congrats to the newly wedded Sarah and Brad Hubert who tied the knot back in September up in their hometown of Cleveland.
It's always fun to shoot somewhere new—and Progressive Field (aka Jacobs Field) was the perfect spot for this baseball lovin' couple's post wedding celebration.

These last couple of photos we got well after the sun went down and headed back out on the field. I love it! Thanks again to both of you for having me photography your amazing day. It was sooo much fun!

Steve and Falon

Well it's been awhile since I have posted any engagement sessions on here so I thought I would start with a few pics from Steve Eastlake and Falon Donohue's engagement session at Taylor Mansion a few weeks ago. We had such an incredibly perfect fall day and the colors and lighting were incredible (not to mention the cute couple). I just love Falon's casual boho-chic style too! Can't wait for their 60's inspired wedding in August.

Aren't these two just adorable? I feel so honored to be photographing their big day. Steve's sister is one of my best friends and I've known quite a few of the Eastlakes for awhile now. Thanks again for choosing me, it's gonna be great!

Andre and Allison's Wedding at The Lofts

Hello again! Finally getting back into the swing of blogging with my second post of the week with yet another fab bride and groom, Andre and Allison. Such an adorable, laid back and FUN couple. Definitely a great energy all throughout the day from all the friends and family.

So without further ado, here's a sneak peek at their awesome and super chic day (they had great style!)

I just love this series from their "first look".

This day was a perfect case of "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". The rain and drizzle just didn't seem to want to stop (which is good luck anyways, right??) ANd it just so happened that their color palette of dark and light blues with cream went great with the trim of the building just outside the door (conveniently covered). Thought the setting made for some cool images. Way to strike a pose like a pro Allison!

And here's an image from the reception that I just love. It just says love and contentment to me. Love it! Thanks to both Allison and Andre for choosing me to photograph your day. Rain or shine, it was perfect!

Melanie and Joe

Hello hello! First of all I want to thank all my fall brides and grooms for your patience as I get caught up with editing and all my blog posts for the past couple of months. September and October both were record months FULL of amazingly beautiful weddings and engagements!

So, for starters I would like to post a few pics from the wedding of a wonderful couple I was so happy to photograph last month, Melanie and Joe Bilyk. Melanie was sooo gorgeous and had a beautiful vintage inspired color palette that was perfect for their fall wedding at the Taylor Mansion.

Enjoy your sneak peek you guys and I should have the rest of the images up on Pictage shortly! Thanks again to both of you!

Katie and Colin

Congrats congrats to you — Katie and Colin Beske! Hopefully this little sneak peek of wedding pics finds you doing well and loving your new home in London! (albeit temporary, right??) Definitely a big year for the both of you!

Thanks again for having me photograph your day. You both looked incredible and there was such a warmth to the whole day that stemmed from your absolute love for each other.

Congrats and enjoy! All of your images should be available on Pictage.com late next week.

Monica and Wade

Congrats to the newly hitched Monica and Wade Killough! Simply put, what a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Here's just a quick sneak peek at some of their images from their big day at the Venue at Smith Brothers. I love this place—it always creates such a classy, intimate and warm atmosphere. It was so completely fitting for this couple — very modern and stylish. Not to mention the FANTASTIC soundtrack that accompanied the day. (compliments of the groom i believe—nice work!)

Monica truly looked stunning—and yes, this is all her own hair! Isn't she gorgeous?

I'll leave you with this last image from their reception that I just loved. They couldn't look happier or more content with that moment, right then. A perfect cap for a perfect day. Thanks again to both of you for having me part of your day! Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

Jill and Brian's Engagement Session

Oh HAPPY DAY! What a wonderful way to kick off the photo-filled holiday weekend than with a beauuuuutiful session on Friday morning with a super cute couple, Jill and Brian.

So often I do evening shoots (because of the lovely soft sunset light of the "golden hour"), but I have to say how much I enjoyed this gorgeous morning sunshine mixed with the lovely woodsy surroundings. More than anything though, what really "makes" any shoot a success though, in my opinion, is the couple's ability to really relax in front of the camera and just "be together" and allowing me to just take a step back and do what I strive to do best — capture you naturally. I LOVE fashion and portraiture, but It's capturing the little moments— the smiles, cuddles, giggles and general affection between people that really makes my heart flip and my cheeks hurt!

And that's what this session with Jill and Brian did for me — so thanks so much you guys! I had a blast with you both and can't wait until your wedding next summer!

Beach Shoot in Hilton Head

It's a small world afterall, right? The longer I am on this earth, the more often I find myself using this all too familiar cliché.

So I was down in HH for Meredith and Geoff's wedding last weekend but arrived a couple days early to get settled in and try to enjoy a day at the beach. I walked into the hotel lobby after finishing up a run on Thursday morning and run into a friend of mine from Columbus, Mehran. Who just happened to be on vacation and staying at the Westin as well with his wife Angela and little boy, Rowan. We'd talked about doing a family shoot sometime soon—but had no idea we'd be shooting on the beach at sunset! What a wonderful surprise.

Isn't this evening sunset light gorgeous? This isn't photoshop...this is mother nature.

Rowan just makes me melt, he's so darn sweet. Just learning to walk, I think he enjoyed the ocean and sand on his little feet. Everything about this photo session was just great. Thanks so much you guys!

Poor little guy just got tuckered out.

And Caroline Hilty of UnVeiled Photography was helping me out all weekend with the wedding and all and caught this shot of me during the session. Thanks Caroline!
